The Nookal integration lets you push Motics notes to a patient's case in Nookal. Phone Agent can also use the same connection. You connect Nookal once. Then you choose which agents use it.
Before you start
You need a Nookal user that can create API clients.
You need to know where your Nookal account is hosted.
Create an API v3 key in Nookal
These steps also show in Motics under Set up in Nookal.
In Nookal, select the gear icon to open Setup.
Go to Connections. Then select API v3.0.
Select Create New Client.
Enable these query permissions: Staff, Clients, Cases, Clinical Notes, Locations, Appointments.
Enable these mutation permissions: Case, Clinical Notes.
Copy the Basic Key.
If you cannot create a client in Nookal, ask a Nookal admin or the practice owner.
Connect Nookal in Motics

Select Integrations.
Find Nookal in Electronic Health Record & Patient Management.
Select Connect.
In API v3 Basic Key, paste the Basic Key.
In Server Region, select where your Nookal account is hosted.

Phone. Let Phone Agent use Nookal.
Select Save.
Motics shows the message Nookal settings saved. The Nookal row shows Scribe connected, Phone connected, or both.
Note: Each agent can use one EHR at a time. If an agent already uses another EHR, Motics shows Replace agent connection?. Read the message. Then select Continue to move that agent to Nookal. For more information, see Choose which agent uses each EHR connection.
Note: If Phone shows Unavailable for this account, your account cannot connect Phone Agent to Nookal.
Push a note to Nookal
Generate the note.
Select Push to with the Nookal logo.
In Patient, search for the patient by last name. Then select the patient.
In Case, select a case. To make a new case, select Add new case. Type the case name. Then select Create.

For more detail, see Push a Summary to Nookal.
Change or remove the connection
Change the key or the practitioner. Go to Settings, then Integrations. Select Manage on the Nookal row. To keep the current key, leave API v3 Basic Key blank. Then select Save.
Stop one agent using Nookal. Clear Scribe or Phone in Use this connection for. Then select Save. Motics keeps the key. If no agent uses the key, the row shows Credential saved.
Remove the key. Select Remove credentials. Then select Yes, Remove.
Caution: Remove credentials disconnects every agent that uses this connection, including Phone Agent.
To turn off the key in Nookal, open the API client in Nookal and disable it, or delete it.
If something goes wrong
You see "Verification Failed". Check that you copied the whole Basic Key. Check the Server Region. Then select Verify Credentials again.
The row shows "Reconnect required". Nookal rejected the saved key. Select Manage. Paste a new Basic Key, verify it, and choose the default practitioner. See also Reconnect Cliniko or Nookal.
You see "No Nookal practitioner configured". Select Manage on the Nookal row. Choose a Default Practitioner. Then select Save.
You see "The configured practitioner is no longer available in your Nookal account". Choose a different Default Practitioner. Then select Save.
You see "No patient found." Search by last name. The patient must exist in Nookal.
